Amok Adobo version beta
So here's what I did. . .Took about a 1lb of boneless skinless chicken breasts chopped into hunks then marinated with 1/2 soy, splash of white vinager, 2 cloves fresh garlic, pepper corns, and diced ginger. I let it marinate for 2 hrs. . then warmed a stove pot with 1/8 cup of veg. oil, added more ginger, garlic, and a 1/4 white onion. sautee and add chicken + marinade cook covered boiling for 1/2 hour then simmer uncovered for 20 min. The verdict. . .not bad. . .seems like Adobo is one of those dishes you have to be a complete moron to mess up. I also added wax beans during the last 10 min of cooking to add color. I also added a touch of that secret ingredient only known to me and Prince Frog. . .it worked out fine. Afterwards ate some peanut butter twix ice cream. I may just cook it for my islandprincess

Suk's B-day
So there's this guy in my class I'll call him P.I.G(psycho. inchick. guy) whom I hadn't hung out with for about a year. . .He not such a bad guy, a little immature, self-centered, and wouldn't know pakikisama if it bit him in the arse. So our mutual friend Suk( pronounced Sook) has a b-day bash over at Highlands tomorrow and were both invited. So i get a call from PIG around 7 and here's the conversation:


PIG: "heyRandyougoingtosuk'sthingtomorow.Heylet'sridetogether."(I swear he said all that in one breath)
Me: " Ok well lets see who else is driving. I was planning on gettting drunk too. . and crashing on Suk's couch"
PIG:"Wellyoushoulddrive"
Me: "Hey I'm sure we'll all meet at Suk's tomorrow so we'll figure out the ride situation. I have someone else on the other line.(Surjenn)
PIG:"Okdudecyatomorrow. . " click
So here's my prospect for tomorow nite. . yeah I'll proabably end up taking the guy and we'll wait in line to get into Highlands. I'll buy a round. . . I 'll watch him get drunk and if he doesn't dance with the third years he'll end up being my "wingman". Then I'll take him home after we get something to eat at Montery Park at 3am. I'll probably end up hanging with the smokers. . .

Amok at Von's
Man i must be getting old. I was happy with myself when i saw on the reciept that i saved over
$30 with my Von's Card. I didn't get to try the Adobo recipie I found on the net b/c the chicken i bought was frozen so i have to defrost it. I did manage to snag some really cool ice cream Snickers and Twix.

I went over to Bb Laguna's blog and i was very impressed with what she wrotehere
. She's a better writer than my amok ass. Guess there's some value in a dominican education after all. Although I know the really bad ass Catholic kids went to Jesuit schools. I on the other hand only had one year of Christian Brother's until i made the ultimate sacrifice by moving to the then already worsing local public high school so that my little sister "Black sheep Rebel" could run amok on my parents. j/k Still didn't really matter much in the long run b/c i ended up at SFSU with many compatriots who had the benefit of Jesuit, Dominican, Christian Brothers, Sisters of Mercy, and even the all omnipotent Lowell High School. . .Now i go to a Private Medical School with kids from the likes of the UC system, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Duke, Yale, Penn, Vassar, Brown, and Darmouth. Here's the kicker doesn't matter where you went to school it's how you use your education. . .

At the hospital
Man I'm waiting for the damn Radiologist attending to drop by so he/she can sign me out. . .I still found time to play v-ball during lunch. I had 3 kills, 3 aces, and no Randle'effect. . . .Aggrh! I swung by voodoo's page voodoochild
and followed that link. . .Aggrhh!!! Institutionalized racism. . .I mean there are other women in Eastern Block 3rd world countries. . .I sure there are sites for these women too. . .Well rather than go on a tirade about it . . .On one hand my kids will have more mestiza's/ mestizo's/happa/multi-racial ppl to go out with, date, and most likely objectify. . .The future of Asian America isn't white it's black, brown and all the other shades in between. . .

On a happier note i got my financial aid today! yay I can eat!

Talk about work. . .Still didn't write those thank-you letters yet. . .and I labored over Bb Laguna's page just to get the comments to work. . then i was fooling around on my page and had to reset the template three times and i think it's going to stay like this for some time.

Back in LA
Well it was a nice 9 days in the bay. . .for Randamok to wreak havoc on internal medicine residencies at local hospitals. . .Still i don't know where i'm going to go. . .
Sweets wants me to stay of course. Thanks to Jaypers, Squeak, and the rest of the gang for showing me how great it is to be back home. Voodoo I promise we'll get to have that cup of coffee someday. I'm still trying to get my comments to work. I even had my buddy whose a CS major look at it.

I stayed long enuf to see Francis and new fellow Trojan friend come back from the P.I. that wuz fun guys. . .save me a copy of that local FHM.

I just saw over at Prince Frog's blog that Miah came back yesterday. I hope he's got pics.

Today i have to finally get around to writing those thank-you letters to all the places i visited. Hope everybody enjoys their three day weekend and even though i'm not a raiders fan (my sister and kuya are. . ) they played a great game yesterday. Go Raiders! What's the difference between a bucaneer and a raider? Aren't they both pirates?
